infoCDC 3.0.0 Announcement Learn More
Livonia, MI We are pleased to announce the General Availability release of the infoRPA, a simple open-source MuleSoft connector.

Companies operating on IBM i platforms are looking for fast, secure, and convenient ways to connect their back-end systems of records to other applications, customers, and communities. Mature integration teams build their success on the following key integration capabilities and architectures:

  • APIs – make the back-end business logic and data available via standards-based REST integration
  • Event streams – support the bi-directional message exchange between IBM i and external systems
  • Data Integration – change data capture and near real-time streaming of the changes with Kafka Connect
  • Robotic Process Automation (RPA) – build automation that simulates green-screen user interactions without any need to access backend data or programs

With infoRPA release, we offer simple, fast, easy to use, and inexpensive products for each of these categories.

infoRPA for MuleSoft is a simple connector that runs directly inside the MuleSoft app and simulates green screen user actions such as navigation, data entry, and screen capture. The connector can execute a sequence of screen commands, supports passing dynamic data into the screen flows, and retrieves the specific areas of the screen back into MuleSoft variables. infoCDC also supports Python scripts for simple yet more powerful flow controls such as loops and conditional processing.

We decided to open-source the IBM i (AS/400) RPA to make it easier for IBM i customers, especially on the SMB side of the spectrum. This is to help them adopt and automate their core processes without significant investments for licensing and implementation. The connector is compatible with all MuleSoft runtime editions. For companies requiring professional support, rapid implementation for the first few use cases, training, and custom feature developments we offer several commercial support options.

We plan to release infoRPA for Kafka and other integration platforms soon too, please check back on our website for additional details!
